LESS HASSLE. COMPETITIVE RATES.
Purposeful Growth & Wellness is not affiliated with any insurance providers. Instead, we offer competitive rates, that are often less than what you’d pay in insurance co-pays or deductibles. We’ve found that this approach improves the patient-provider relationship, gets people into treatment faster, and saves our clients money in the long run.
WHY WE DON’T ACCEPT INSURANCE
Practices that accept insurance must pre-negotiate rates with insurance providers, and sometimes those are higher than we would normally charge. Rates also get inflated because of the time and overhead required to process payments and other paperwork with those same insurance providers.
Additionally, insurance companies often require patients or caregivers to get prior approval and/or provide documentation of a formal diagnosis before they cover treatment costs. So, patients and families get stuck with large upfront bills, have difficulty getting into treatment quickly, and have less control over their treatment plans.
And finally, insurance providers require that you share information about your condition, and while they may practice proper privacy procedures, your data may be stored in large databases and servers that can be compromised. Sometimes, some diagnosed conditions can be considered pre-existing conditions, impacting future applications for medical, life, or disability insurance.
By accepting payments at the time of service, we are able to offer more competitive rates – often on par with insurance co-pays. We can also get you and your loved ones into treatment more quickly, while keeping your situation completely confidential.
PROFESSIONAL FEES
Payment is due at the time of service. Payment can be made in the form of cash, credit/debit (American Express, Discover, Mastercard and Visa), or check. Upon request we can provide an invoice that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. You may also consider using your Health Savings Account debit card for payment. If you are having trouble making payments at the time of service or you expect to have difficulty with payments, please discuss this with us as soon as possible.
CANCELLATIONS
We strive to provide excellent care for you, your family, and all of our patients. To do so effectively and efficiently, we have developed an appointment system that sets aside ample time for a patient. “No shows,” and late cancellations inconvenience those individuals who need access to care in a timely manner.
To reduce the number of such occurrences, we have implemented the following Appointment Cancellation Policy:
In the event you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please do so within 24 business hours of the scheduled appointment time. You can reach your therapist directly.
Appointments can also be cancelled in the Patient Portal.
If you miss an appointment and do not contact us with at least 24 business hours prior notice, we will consider this a missed appointment and your session will be assessed to you.
CONFIDENTIALITY
In general, the communication between a patient/parents and a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor is protected by law and can only be released to others with your written permission or as required by law.
Patients and parent(s) or guardians(s) of minors will be asked if they would like to authorize a release of information for other relevant treatment providers or natural supports. Doing so may support continuity of care or enhances/supports progress by increasing patient’s network of support, increasing availability of relevant information and perspective and allow for meaningful participation of critical players.
